Spy shots of a possible upcoming Lamborghini model have been doing the rounds. We’re told it’ll be extrememly light, and may even be rear wheel drive.
First we had the Huracan, a fire-breathing 5.2L V10 powered supercar. The Performante was released a few years later and before people had a chance to say “nothing can top that”, the EVO was released.
Posted to Instagram by car collector @allanlambo, we have spy photos of a new Huracan, and it’s meant to be better than the EVO. It seems that Lamborghini have been picking up the pace, fast.

So what’s rumoured?
First up, the name. Super Trofeo Omologlato (STO). Super Trofeo being a Lamborghini-based motor racing event, and omologlato meaning… homologated. Upon comparing the spy photo to a Super Trofeo race car, it’s quite clear that they share a very similar top mounted air duct and a large spoiler, but judging by the front and rear ends – it seems to be based off the road-going Huracan EVO.
Maybe it’ll carry the best of both worlds?

Specifications are rumoured to be similar to the current EVO – a 477kW (640hp) 5.2L V10 matched to a Super Trofeo’s RWD system, and weight is expected to sit under 1,300kg which if true, will make it 150kg lighter than the EVO.

We expect it will take a lot of technology from both the road-legal EVO and the Super Trofeo race car – from brakes to aerodynamics, but it’s too early to say at this point.
If these rumours add up, we could be seeing a successor to the Sesto Elemento. A road legal one at that.
